EASTER HEATWAVE AHEAD

BRITAIN will be hotter and drier this Easter weekend than Athens, Malta and New York, forecasters revealed yesterday.
The weather will even be better than the Costa del Sol, the tropical Maldives and Istanbul, where rain is expected to put a dampener on festivities.
The biggest holiday so far this year will see the whole country bathed in sunshine, with temperatures set to reach a balmy 66F (19C).
Tourists and sunseekers have already begun to flock to destinations like Bournemouth on the south coast as the fine weather continues.
To beat the best of British this Easter, holidaymakers would have to head to the far west of Portugal or southern Morocco. Even there, temperatures will be similar to Brighton. read more
